To make more equitable outcomes for children of color through intergenerational storytelling, entrepreneurial leadership, and education.
To strengthen and sustain our pathway programs so that all artists, entrepreneurs, and learners have an entry point.
We are excited to partner with Growth Circles, Golden Gate Village Resident Council, and the Marin County Office of Equity to offer this free program.
Students successful participation programs will be rewarded with a free trip to New York City to watch three Broadway Shows, visit Juilliard, perform at the Apollo Theater, climb the Statue of Liberty and so much more.
The Griot Theater Company seeks to work with Marin City Youth to amplify and applaud their unique voices. We hope to reach each ensemble member’s cultural background to recognize their cultural influences in the arts, their community, and the world. We aim to be the organization that shines a spotlight on student voices and allows them to be seen, heard, and understood.
Your monthly pledges will support our Griot Ambassadors by allowing these high school students to receive stipends for their contributions the the company. These young people have a strong commitment and passion to the arts, education, and entrepreneurial leadership; and have been at the forefront of leading this company. Your monthly pledges will help foster and nurture our future leaders.
