Yaya is no stranger to the stage. She has been in high school and community productions, including Griot's 2023 production of Queen of Cubs. She enjoys acting/ theater because it allows her to build empathy and look at the world differently, through another person's perspective.

Yaya is excited to work with Griot because she can work with young people in a mentorship capacity while leading a local community organization's marketing and branding initiatives.
